One of my most favorite quote is one of MLK Jr: ” Life’s most persistent and urgent question is ‘what are you doing for others?’ ” This is certainly a very important question, especially in today’s atmosphere of strict self-interest. For me as a physician, the relevance of this question is ever present and rapidly increasing.
I admire Martin Luther King, Jr for his sacrificial love for others and thank him for making it possible for me to help others despite my origin ( skin color and nationality). After all, “Only a life lived for others is worth living” ( A. Einstein)
